How to plan your Sunshine Coast wedding from home!

Here are some tips on how to plan your Sunshine Coast wedding from home!

If you have booked, or are looking to book your wedding on the Sunshine Coast, it is now even easier to complete most of the legal paperwork without leaving the comfort of your home.

The most important document that you need to complete is called the Notice of Intended Marriage form.

The Notice of Intended Marriage form must be completed a minimum of a month prior to the wedding.  But I highly recommend completing it asap.  You can find a copy here.

If you can’t make a face to face meeting, simply complete your personal details on the form and have either a JP or a police officer witness your signatures.  Then scan the signed form and email it to me.  The date I receive the form is the date the one month waiting period commences.  You are unable to get married during that month!  (Except in special circumstances – contact me if this applies to you)

We then arrange a Zoom video session and the Notice of Intended Marriage form can be completed as I check your ID documents against the personal details you have provided.  You will need either a passport, or a birth certificate and licence for this section.  Finally, if you have been divorced, I will need to sight the divorce document.

Please contact me for further information and I can help you plan your Sunshine Coast wedding.
