Sunshine Coast and Noosa Elopement or a small wedding is a great option.
There is an increasing number of couples wishing to elope instead of having a traditional or larger wedding.
The reasons are various. Some couples don’t like to be the centre of attention, they want it to be a secret, or it is the sheer cost of getting married that has them seeking a fantastic place to elope to, and save some money.
But for most, it is the desire to avoid all of that organising and stress involved in planning a larger wedding. They would rather spend their wedding day with their loved ones and have a more meaningful ceremony that is more personal.
What is the difference between a Sunshine Coast Pop up wedding and a Sunshine Coast Elopement wedding? There isn’t really that much difference.
Sunshine Coast Pop up weddings are usually conducted at a specific venue and in some cases only on a specific day. This means there will be other couples booked in at the same venue about an hour or two apart. This can be a great way to save on costs, however things can go a bit awry if one of the couples is running late.
Sunshine Coast Elopement weddings can be conducted just about anywhere and on any day of your choosing. Under this option you have total flexibility in how your wedding ceremony unfolds.
You can elope with just the two of you and we can provide some witnesses for you, or you can bring the whole clan along to witness your marriage vows to each other, either way you can be married in one of the hundreds of fantastic locations on the Sunshine Coast, Hinterland or Noosa area.
How do we arrange it all?
The first thing to do is contact your celebrant (me) to ensure you understand the requirement for the Notice of Intended Marriage form to be signed a minimum of one month prior to the ceremony. It is only in the movies that you can jump on a plane and be married the next day, so make sure you plan well ahead of time.
We can do just about everything electronically these days so it can all be be done using the phone, skype, email, Facebook etc. Each year we plan weddings for couples who live overseas or interstate so we are very experienced in getting all the paperwork completed on time.
I would step you through the process and offer some suggestions on possible locations and other providers you may require. In fact we can offer a great service with a celebrant and a photographer for ‘off peak’ small weddings – see Sunshine Coast Small Weddings
Once you arrive in the area, we could meet and confirm everything before we do the actual ceremony. Simple!
The hardest part is knowing where to start, so feel free to send me an email or give me a call and I can give you a quick outline of timing and we can get the ball rolling on getting you two married on the Sunshine Coast.
