I am not very good at taking compliments but marrying couples Sunshine Coast and Hinterland a wonderful experience. I know I have said it before, but I love my job!
Who else gets to regularly share in such beautiful moments when a couple are committing to spend their lives with each other?
Every wedding is different in how it happens, and on the emotions felt by all concerned. Sometimes the grooms are nervous, sometimes the bride bursts into tears when she sees her groom waiting for her. Sometimes everyone is in tears as the bride walks down the isle, and all of the time, there is a lot of laughter, clapping, crying, cheering and a huge sense of relief when the couple are announced as husband and wife.
After the ceremony, some couples send emails, texts, letters and messages of appreciation of the service they have received. This is when your celebrant will blush!
It warms my heart to receive thanks for something I love to do. In fact, I never know how to respond properly, as I think I have had even more pleasure spending the time with them on their wedding day – I should be thanking them!
