Getting married on the Sunshine Coast is popular!
For another year the number of marriages in Australia has increased! Yay!
In 2018, there were 119,188 marriages, which was an increase of 5.5% over 2017 (6,234 more couples tied the knot).
For those who love statistics:
- the median age for males was 32.4
- the median age for females was 30.5
- 5.5% of marriages were same sex couples
So keep up the good work! Let’s make 2020 a bumper year for marriages.
